My dealer has been great with me and my buying of my 4110 but, the mower deck is still not in, I order the tractor 2 weeks ago this comming Monday. Every thing eles is in and on the tractor. Bucket, Imatch lights, blade etc.
He said it shipped a week ago on a private hauler,
Question should or can I tell him to get it from another dealer with in our area, or should I go ahead and take the tactor and other equ. minus the deck.
I have plans for this baby this week end, loader work galor and need to cut my grass. I have detailed my old 455 for them and do not want to get it messed up.

What to do.
Thanks

Roger.

I've got the opposite problem. They have a mower deck, but my 4310 isn't here yet. My lawn also needs mowing!! A possibility is to eat the money and hire out the mowing one time. ....

When we have situations like what you have we try to be sure that the lawns still get mowed. I would not hesitate to mow your lawn with your tractor but you might want to ask your dealer if he spent the time to visit and appraise your unit. When you call you might find some positive info on your new purchase. I know what it is like to be waiting on both sides and believe me it's not fun. ....

Have you asked your dealer for a loaner machine? Tell him you have spent a lot of time cleaning up and detailing your 455 and don't want to mess it up. I am betting he has something he can loan you until your MMM comes in and he can put your 455 out on the lot nice and pretty without having to clean it up himself. If not, use your 455 and let them detail and clean it up again. ....

Ask your dealer if he has a demo or trade-in RFM that you can use until your deck arrives.

I have found over the years that most dealers are pretty happy to loan out used equipment in inventory to hold you till yours arrives. It's cheap a 'customer relations' exercise.

Best of luck. ....

Well I got my baby home and it stoped raining before dark so I could get a bit of loader work done on my wood pile pushing it back and piling it up. Bad news I have to buy a new trailer. The new 4110 would not fit on my old two wheel trailer its only 12 ft. I want to be able to have my loader and blade on the the tractor at the same time. When the dealer brought the tractor to my house I notice when off loading the tractor it realy lifted the back end of the truck. I was wanting to know if this added weight will be a promblem in stopping in other words should I be looking at elec. brakes for the trail.

Can't wait to get some seat time in at my river camp opening up my road after a 1 month flood. I will be removing dirt spreading new gravel and cutting up a large tree and using the bucket to load my new trailer.

Thanks to all that have written back.

Congratulations on the new Tool. Even if it is the wrong color ;)

I don't know about your area, but in VA and many other states, a 2 axle trailer requires trailer brakes. Although from looking at used trailers, I've seen that many are non-functional or missing brakes all together.

Think about what the piece of steel you just bought weighs and what it cost. Then check out the cost difference to add trailer brakes to what you already have or are shopping for. I hope you will not have any trouble making the safe choice.

My problem is at the other end. Needing more truck to pull with, and although not a necessity, I'd like to out weigh what I'm pulling if possible. Something about physics...

Thanks for the post. Funny the color comment had been sent to me from a friend that thinks green is not the choice too. We have a fun battle going on. Buckets at head to head at sundown. I learned the hard way of having a too small of a truck when pulling a large boat with a Ford Ranger and the gears fell out on the street. So now I have a v8 Dodge, I know wrong color.
(brand) But we work with what we have.
I think I am going to check out the elec. breaks and a strong gate to drive on. Why cut coners.
ect. for the tractor
Happy tractoring.
